• Vacation from Hell: Episode 2, "Small Cranes Court" (1984). A shady travel agent talks the Crane family into taking a vacation to a remote third world country, where they have such a miserable time that Martin trashes the travel agency on the air. When the agency sues him for defamation, Martin goes to court.
• See You in Court: Episode 2, "Small Cranes Court" (1984). Martin sues a travel agent who sold him a vacation package that turned out to be a nightmare.
• Election: Episode 8, "The Candidates" (1984). Martin convinces Harold to run for student body president at school.
• Pyramid Scheme: Episode 10, "Harold at Bat" (1984). Candy starts selling products for an MLM company, and she practices her demonstration for Didi.
• Play Ball: Episode 10, "Harold at Bat" (1984). The whole Crane family is excited about Harold's baseball team making the playoffs—except Harold. He doesn't want to play because he thinks he stinks and the other kids make fun of him, but Martin talks him into it, and Harold proves he was right.
