The '80s brought a cavalcade of cornball, campy, catchphrase-crammed comedy with a steady stream of "very special" episodes. "Heart" was the name of the game in this decade, taking the trend of tackling serious issues from the '70s and giving it a positive, uplifting makeover. The "War on Drugs" made its way onto the screen with hordes of episodes that resembled the PSAs that were prevalent at the time.
