The Shrine

A character has a shrine to someone with whom they're infatuated. Usually it involves many different photographs of them and sometimes a life-sized cutout.

• Newhart: Season 8, episode 13, "Beauty and the Pest" (1990). A man tells Joanna he wants her to help him buy a house, but he turns down every house she shows him. Finally, she goes to his current house to get an idea of what he likes, and she discovers he has a shrine to her complete with a mannequinn with her face pasted on it.
• Cheers: Season 10, episode 17, "A Diminished Rebecca with a Suspended Cliff" (1992). Woody's cousin, Russel, visits and falls for Rebecca so hard he won't leave her alone. When she visits his hotel room to tell him she's not interested, she discovers he has painted a half-naked portrait of her above his bed.
