- The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis: Season 3, episode 3, "Move Over, Perry Mason" (1961). When Maynard injures his wrist in a gumball machine at the Gillis family grocery store, his law professor encourages him to sue and represents him in court.
- The Dick Van Dyke Show: Season 4, episode 21, "The Case of the Pillow" (1965). Rob sues a pillow salesman for selling Laura pillows stuffed with chicken feathers instead of goose down.
- My Mother the Car: Episode 3, "What Makes Auntie Freeze" (1965). While he's on his way to a wedding, Dave's mother/car overheats, so he fills it with alcohol-based anti-freeze, which makes his mother get drunk. Two passing police officers see her swerving all over the road and assume Dave is drunk, so they arrest him. At the police station, Dave spots the bride's Uncle Rex, who was also arrested on his way to the wedding. To help them both get to the wedding on time, Dave represents Uncle Rex in a hearing that takes place in a barber shop.
- The Odd Couple: Season 2, episode 6, "Murray the Fink" (1971). Murray wants to prove he's a good cop, so he arrests the whole gang for playing poker. Oscar contests the charges in court, but Felix wants to support Murray, so he argues against Oscar.
- The Odd Couple: Season 3, episode 19, "My Strife in Court" (1973). When Oscar and Felix are falsely arrested for ticket scalping, Felix insists on representing them at the hearing, and his courtroom theatrics almost make them lose their case.
- The Odd Couple: Season 5, episode 5, "The Dog Story" (1974). Felix steals a famous dog because his owner mistreats him, and Oscar helps him cover it up. When they get caught, Oscar pleads guilty and gets a fine, but Felix insists on going to trial and representing himself.
- Sanford and Son: Season 3, episode 15, "Fred Sanford, Legal Eagle" (1974). Lamont is wrongfully issued a traffic ticket, and Fred convinces him to go to court and fight it.
- What's Happening!!: Season 2, episode 3, "Trial and Error" (1977). While making a bike delivery for his new job, Raj gets hit by a car, and in a bizarre twist, the driver ends up suing him for damages to his car. When it looks like he's about to lose his case, Shirley takes over and gets the driver to drop it.
- Soap: Season 1, episode 21 (1978). Jessica is put on trial for Peter's murder, even though she maintains her innocence.
- Soap: Season 3, episode 20 (1980). Carol sues Jodie for custody of their daughter, Wendy, and Jodie goes to court to plead his case.
- Diff'rent Strokes: Season 3, episode 2, "Small Claims" (1980). Arnold walks dogs to save up money to buy a new engine for his train set, but the engine he buys doesn't run, and the store owner won't take it back, so Mr. Drummond helps Arnold sue the store owner in small claims court.
- WKRP in Cincinnati: Season 4, episode 16, "Circumstantial Evidence" (1982). Venus is tried for burglary on the word of a jewel thief he dated.
- Newhart: Season 3, episode 9, "Happy Trials to You" (1984). A writer sues Dick for plagiarizing his book on bathroom repair.
- Domestic Life: Episode 2, "Small Cranes Court" (1984). A shady travel agent talks the Crane family into taking a vacation to a remote third world country, where they have such a miserable time that Martin trashes the travel agency on the air. When the agency sues him for defamation, Martin goes to court.
- Mr. Belvedere: Season 3, episode 7, "Deportation: Part 2" (1986). Mr. Belvedere gets arrested by Immigration for working without a visa, and he has to go to court and try to convince the judge to let him stay in the country.
- Perfect Strangers: Season 2, episode 9, "Can I Get a Witness?" (1986). Balki accidentally takes a job delivering packages for a mob boss named Vince, and he and Larry both get arrested. To avoid charges, they give up Vince to the police and testify against him at his trial.
- Cheers: Season 5, episode 13, "Chambers vs. Malone" (1987). Diane presses charges against Sam when she turns down his third proposal and he chases her around the city, but the judge dismisses the case when Sam proposes again in court.
- Mr. Belvedere: Season 3, episode 14, "The Ticket" (1987). Kevin gets a ticket for going through a stop sign because branches were covering the sign, and Marsha insists on going to court with him to fight it, but her overzealousness gets Kevin's license suspended.
- Sledge Hammer!: Season 1, episode 21, "Jagged Sledge" (1987). Sledge is on trial for murder, and even his attorney thinks he's guilty, so he fires him and represents himself in court.
- Wings: Season 3, episode 2, "Is That a Subpoena in Your Pocket...?" (1991). After Helen drives her Jeep through Joe's office, she refuses to pay his insurance deductible, so Joe sues her and wins, despite the fact that Helen showed up to court with crutches.
- Seinfeld: Season 4, episode 4, "The Ticket" (1992). Newman goes to court to contest a speeding ticket, and his defense is that he was rushing to stop Kramer from committing suicide. Kramer agrees to be Newman's witness, but he was recently kicked in the head by Crazy Joe Davola, and he gets confused on the stand.
- The Nanny: Season 3, episode 8, "The Party's Over" (1995). Fran and Val throw a singles mixer at the Mansion, and one of the guests turns out to be a police officer, who arrests Fran for operating a business without a license. To make matters worse, her uncle-lawyer turns out to be a hack, but Mr. Sheffield rushes in and saves her from jail at the last minute.
