A character needs a blood transfusion, and it comes from someone they find repulsive (or at least off-putting).

- Night Court: Season 4, episode 6, "Dan's Operation: Part 2" (1986). After he aggravates his ulcer surgery by going back to work too early, then having sex with Sheila in his hospital bed, Dan needs a blood transfusion, and Phil happens to be the perfect match.
- Newhart: Season 7, episode 3, "This Blood's for You" (1988). Stephanie has to have her appendix removed, and due to a complication, she needs a blood transfusion. She has a rare blood type, and the only other person in town with that blood type is Darryl #2.
- Seinfeld: Season 9, episode 4, "The Blood" (1997). Kramer has been "hoarding" his own blood "just in case," so when Jerry accidentally sends a knife flying through the air to land in his neck, Kramer supplies the blood for his transfusion. Jerry is disgusted, and Kramer uses his "blood brother" status to get Jerry to do things like shave the back of his neck and let Kramer and Newman make sausage in his apartment.
