Allergic to You
A character thinks they're allergic to someone they see every day, like a family member, friend, or co-worker. Usually someone tells them it's psychological, and they're sneezing because they resent that person. They always find out that they're allergic to something else.

- The Dick Van Dyke Show: Season 2, episode 12, "Gesundheit, Darling" (1962). Rob can't stop sneezing whenever he's at home, and he suspects he might be allergic to Laura. It turns out that Ritchie has been secretly keeping a kitten in the garage, and Rob is allergic to cat fur.
- The Patty Duke Show: Season 1 episode 29, "The Friendship Bit" (1964). Patty starts sneezing whenever she's near Cathy, and a so-called doctor tells her she's allergic to Cathy. Eventually, she realizes she's allergic to a pin Cathy's been wearing.
- Gilligan's Island: Season 2 episode 28, "Allergy Time" (1966). The castaways have all started sneezing uncontrollably whenever they're around Gilligan, so the Professor surmises that they must be allergic to Gilligan. Eventually, Gilligan discovers that the papaya nut oil he's been using in his hair tonic is what's making them all sneeze.
- Mork & Mindy: Season 2, episode 7, "Mork Gets Mindy-itis" (1979). Mork starts laughing uncontrollably (the Orcan version of sneezing) whenever he's close to Mindy, so he concludes he must be allergic to her, but Mindy determines that he's just afraid to get close to people.
- Mr. Belvedere: Season 2, episode 1, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" (1985). George has suddenly developed a snoring problem that's keeping Marsha up all night, but when Mr. Belvedere goes away for the weekend, George doesn't snore at all, and when he comes back, so does George's snoring, so George concludes he's allergic to Mr. Belvedere.
