- The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis: Season 1, episode 16, "The Fist Fighter" (1960). To impress Thalia, Dobie gets the toughest guy in town to pretend Dobie kicked his ass. Rumors spread about Dobie's fighting prowess, leading to his earning the nickname "Top Fist."
- Diff'rent Strokes: Season 2, episode 18, "Return of The Gooch" (1980). Arnold's bully, The Gooch, is bothering him again, and he's afraid he's going to get his ass kicked, so Mr. Drummond signs him up for a karate class. Arnold tries out his karate skills on Willis, and Willis pretends Arnold's kick is so powerful that it knocked him out. His confidence boosted, Arnold challenges The Gooch to a fight, and soon all the kids at school are talking about Arnold's "killer kick."
- ALF: Season 2, episode 21, "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" (1989). When the father of Brian's bully antagonizes Willie, to everyone's surprise, Willie throws the man out of the house bodily. Soon the town is a buzz about Willie's badassery, and Alf starts planning a fighting tournament with the other dads in the neighborhood.
- Frasier: Season 3, episode 17, "High Crane Drifter" (1996). Frasier is in a bad mood because he feels people are being especially rude to him, so when a guy steals a table from him and Niles at the coffee shop, Frasier picks him and throws him out the door. A local newspaper publishes a story about it, and soon everyone in Seattle thinks Frasier is a badass, and they're all inspired by him to take revenge on people who irk them.
