- The Odd Couple: Season 5, episode 20, "Old Flames Never Die" (1975). Felix finds out an old classmate of his is now a grandmother, and it makes him feel old, so he has a fantasy about him and Oscar as old men in the distant future.
- What's Happening!!: Season 3, episode 14, "Dwayne's Dream" (1979). Dwayne gets a job selling peanuts at a college stadium, and he's considering dropping out of school to work full time. Raj and Big Earl both give him advice, and he has two dreams about the distant future where all his friends are rich and successful, but his life is screwed up because he never finished high school.
- Cheers: Season 5, episode 26, "I Do, Adieu" (1987). As Sam ponders whether he wants to marry Diane, he has a fantasy about the two of them as an old married couple many years in the future.
- Wings: Season 6, episode 4, "The Spark and How to Get It" (1994). When Brian's therapist tells him he's completely over Alex and ready to start dating again, he hits the Club Car to cruise for chicks and has a vision of himself at 60 years old, still doing the same pathetic routine.
- Seinfeld: Season 7, episode 22, "The Invitations" (1996). With George getting married, Elaine tells Jerry she's planning to get married soon too, so Jerry and Kramer will be the only two single friends left. Jerry is uncomfortable with this possibility and has a daydream about him and Kramer as old men still having the same silly conversations.
- The Nanny: Season 5, episode 15, "The Engagement" (1998). When Mr. Sheffield finally tells Fran he loves her and doesn't take it back, Fran has a disturbing fantasy about a future where they're both senior citizens, and he still refuses to make a commitment to her.
