• Diff'rent Strokes: Season 2, episode 13, "The Dog Story" (1979). Arnold rescues a dog from being hit by a car, but in the process, the dog bites him, so the family has to find the dog to confirm that it's been vaccinated within 24 hours or Arnold will have to get 20 injections in the stomach.
• Night Court: Season 4, episode 6, "Rabid" (1987). Harry's apartment building catches fire, and a stray dog wakes him up in time to get out, so Dan offers to let Harry and his dog stay with him until his apartment is fixed up. While Harry is out, the dog bites Dan and runs away, so the gang rushes to find the dog within 24 hours so Dan doesn't have to get a series of painful injections.
• Seinfeld: Season 5, episode 3, "The Glasses" (1993). While helping George pick out a new pair of glasses, Elaine is bitten by a strange dog. Later, she reads about the symptoms or rabies and begins to manifest all of them at once, so she rushes to the doctor to get a shot.
